Hey Sarah, these look great! By the way, if you are looking for new inspirations, I recently started a website where I post illustrated recipes from my home country of Slovakia. You may wanna try what we call "bear paws", which are these walnut "cookies" that are baked year around but are always part of the Christmas table: http://www.slovakcooking.com/2010/recipes/bear-paws-medvedie-labky/

Hi Janice..I haven't but I have wondered if that would work and I bet it would. Though, obviously it would have a different taste as the Kahlua gives a bit of a sweet coffee back ground. I have also wondered about putting some kirch in and going in a different direction. I am sure they could be played with any number of way.

Love these cookies...look gorgeous and delicious. If only I can have a few to go with my hot coffee now to warm & cheer me up in this miserable cold weather. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much :) Sometimes you just have to know when to use somebody else's recipe and this is one of those. Really good stuff.
